Barfoots Farming Forever brand
Historically Barfoots has sold speciality vegetables (such as asparagus, chillies, courgettes, sweetcorn, squash and Tenderstem® into Wholesale and some retailers under the ‘Barfoot Farms’ brand.
2025 will see an elevation of this brand that is more distinctly a manifestation of Barfoots’ broader company vision, which is relevant to Barfoots’ speciality vegetables grown both in the UK and on Barfoots’ global farms.
The rebrand encompasses a new brand name, trademarked for both the EU and UK, along with a packaging redesign.
Inspired by founder Peter Barfoot’s philosophy to “Look after the land like you want to farm forever”, the infinity device in the new brand logo represents the cyclical nature of growing vegetables, the connectivity with nature and health, and the intent to continue to improve the process of providing nourishing vegetables from field to fork.
We want to connect with Barfoots’ broader vision to provide exceptional, sustainable speciality vegetables for the health of future generations. In doing so we aim to elevate the brand to connect with the consumer, standing out on screen and on shelf.
Enriching their offering to meet the expectations of increasingly conscious consumers, this in turn will provide value to our own retail and wholesale customers.
Through the brand Barfoots want to encourage consumers to enjoy delicious nutritious vegetables and feel positive about the impact of their choices on the environment.
The rebrand has been worked on with Rhythm Studio, who have a wealth of experience working with FMCG and challenger brands. It will be phased into wholesale and Ocado with whom Barfoots currently sell the Barfoot farms brand, with a view to growing the brand with other retail opportunities.
